In a warm and pleasant atmosphere a few paces from the Ognisanti Square, a spacious environment may be divided into elegant rooms to find the right space for every occasion.
An ideal place for a romantic dinner with your loved one, a dinner with friends, or a family celebration, birthdays or anniversaries.
The Kitchen
In our kitchen we try to exalt genuine flavors with prime ingredients respecting the seasonal period. Fruit, vegetables, meat, and fish are selected every day from the market. Along the walls on open shelves, red and white wines from selected Tuscan wineries may be found.
The "Tasting" menu
To taste the true recipes from the Restaurant Opera, you may make a request for the “Tasting” menu to our staff, a gastronomic trip of four courses in tradition of the territory. Our chef proposes a dinner filled with typical Tuscan flavors. Every dish may be accompanied by wines from our cantina, chosen by our sommelier.
lo zuccotto!
Remember to taste the typical Florentine dessert, lo Zuccotto, prepared by our chef. The Florentine Zuccotto was invented by Bernardo Buontalenti, the same Buontalenti that invented ice cream in the honor of the queen Caterina de’ Medici. A soft dome of cake, flavored with the Florentine liquor alchermes, is filled with frozen whipping cream, chocolate mousse and candied fruit.
LOCATION
Just a step from the historical center
Dinner at the Restaurant Opera has the advantage of being in the historic center, but may be reached without crossing the telematic portals ZTL. It is possible to park a 100m from the restaurant in a garage in agreement with Restaurant Opera. After dinner one may take a walk in San Frediano, taking advantage of the central location of the restaurant.
